The five-story, Class A, LEED Gold-certified General Services Administration Minneapolis Prospective Office Building featured Level IV Security with a progressive collapse structural system and blast force protection. The project included a 144,360-square-foot office building; 108,108-square-foot, three-story, 300-car precast secured parking structure; 28,196-square-foot vehicle maintenance annex facility; and 606-squarefoot visitor screening facility.
For the project, Industrial Louvers supplied its 4-inch LE-48 fixed, non-drainable louvers with a two-coat, Kynar-custom-painted finish.
MG McGrath fabricated its D-Set Titanium Zinc plate panel systems with 1.5-mm ANTHRAZINC from Umicore Building Products USA Inc., along with 0.8-mm ANTHRA-ZINC flashings.
Firestone Building Products supplied its 24-gauge VR Classic Omega Panels with a two-coat, custom Kynar painted finish to match the zinc, and 24-gauge flashing to match the panels.
Additionally, Carlisle Coatings & Waterproofing supplied its CCW-705 Moisture Barrier applied to metal panels installed over 2-inch Thermax Sheathing insulation from Dow Building Solutions.
