A custom metal screen wall interior sunshade system supplied by DAMS Inc. (formerly Doralco Architectural Metals) was installed across the glass curtainwall behind the check-in area on the second floor of the Hyatt Regency Chicago. Twisted blades work as a sunshade and create an appearance of motion as visitors pass by. Additionally, multicolored lights cast up from a light cove at the base to create a look of movement at night. The sunshade was hinged at the top so windows could be accessed for cleaning.
