Burns and Scalo Roofing Inc. installed Englert Inc.’s 0.032-gauge, 16-inch-wide Series 2000 Profile aluminum panels in Kynar coated painted copper on the lodge annex, tavern, a connector between the buildings and various smaller structures around the pool at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort in Farmington, Pa. Water collection and runoff was a key issue in planning the metal roof aspect of the project because the annex’s design was complex and had many small roofs. The panels were rollformed on the job site. Additionally, Englert’s B4000 mansard brown soffit material and S-5!’s ColorGards were utilized.

The 75,000-square-foot project replaced metal copper coated and shingle roofs and was completed in January 2015. The standing seam metal system was intended to unify the look and use of coated metal materials already used extensively on other rooftops throughout the complex. Nemacolin Woodlands Resort is a 2,000-acre resort located in the Laurel Highlands of southwestern Pennsylvania. It features 318 guest rooms, suites, townhouses, private homes and the Falling Rock boutique hotel.
