Private hangar, Oneida, Tenn.

Carolina Contractors Inc. installed two of Schweiss Doors’ bifold doors with lift-strap auto-latch systems on a private residence near Big South Fork Airpark in Oneida. The two, 48-foot by 15-foot hangar doors have walkthrough doors. A taxiway from the park leads directly to the 60-foot by 50- foot hangar, which has a carousel. Two doors were installed instead of one to increase airflow when outdoor temperatures are high and provide access to a concrete apron to wash aircraft in the backyard. The project was completed in 2014.
