Anne Eamon and Mark Schatz, AIA, partners at m + a architecture studio, designed their new, 1,000-square-foot residence with an emphasis on quality over quantity. Project goals included creating a sense of drama, texture, shadow and scale with a small structure. Metal panels helped achieve the goals.
M + a architecture studio specified ribbed metal panels that continue from the roof down the walls at some locations to create a dynamic and visually interesting texture. The architecture firm completed the installation with 1,600 square feet of MBCI’s Snap Tee metal panels in Galvalume. The panels have 2-inch-wide by 2-inch-deep ribs. The project was completed for $300,000 in January 2017.
