Regions Hospital Family Birth Center, St. Paul, Minn.

For Regions Hospital Family Birth Center, a 75,000-square-foot addition to the 166,000-square-foot Regions Hospital, BWBR Architects Inc. designed a segmented exterior façade with a curtainwall and series of horizontal metal sunshades. The design met the projects thermal performance and aesthetic requirements.

W.L. Hall Co. installed 33,000 square feet of ENVIRO|FACADES unitized curtainwall from Erie Architectural Products, a subsidiary of YKK AP America Inc. Aluminum framing is finished in a three-coat paint with 70% Kynar.
