To pay homage to the fact that Norwe- gian copper was used by the French to make the Statue of Liberty, prepatinaed copper was used for roofing, gutters and walls in an addition at the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Washington, D.C. The addition connects two buildings.
For roofing and walls, The Durable Slate Co. installed DLSS Manufacturing’s 20-ounce, double locked, standing seam, pre-patinaed copper panels. There are convex curves in the double-locked standing seam. For box gutters, Durable Slate installed DLSS’ 24-ounce, pre-patinaed copper gutters. The copper was rollformed with a Wuko pan former and pre-patinaed by DLSS.
