RTKL Associates Inc. specified a variety of metal panels for signage backdrop and an entrance to The Shops at North Bridge retail mall. Tuschall Engineering Co. installed Dri-Design Wall Panel System with DuPont Corian EC cladding system with Umicore Building Products USA Inc.’s VMZinc panels for the 2,629-square-foot project. Horizontal ribs in the Corian were designed to catch colored lighting and create a textured effect.
Tuschall Engineering installed 2,629 square feet of Dri-Design panels in Kynar color with custom pattern Corian in Abalone and 798 square feet of 1-mm Umicore Building Products USA Inc.’s VMZinc in Pigmento Brown with rigidized ribs for the project, completed in 2014. Additionally, painted aluminum and 0.125-aluminum plate light shelf were utilized. The metal panels clad precast concrete and were selected for aesthetics and because they are a light-weight material.
