Nelsen Partners incorporated metal composite material (MCM) panels and perforated aluminum panels in its design for The Watermark, a mixeduse development.

Two of the buildings have MCM and perforated aluminum: a 265,000-square-foot office building and 44,000-square-foot building with retail spaces and a parking garage.

The MCM was used to construct multifaceted, geometric wall patterns. Silver MCM was used for accents at retail portals and fascia on the parking garage. Kovach Enclosure Systems fabricated and installed its 6-mm-thick Kovabond MCM panels with a two-coat Kynar coating in Gatwick Silver.

The perforated aluminum allows ventilation in the parking garage. At some places on the parking garage, perforated aluminum panels were constructed in fish scale and butterfly patterns that add visual depth. Kovach Enclosure Systems fabricated and installed 1/8-inch-thick perforated 5052-H32 aluminum panels.
