Wake Competition Center houses two hockey rinks with viewing stands, locker rooms, training facilities, office space, a restaurant and pro shop. To construct the 118,507-square-foot hockey facility, New England PEMB Inc. erected a Butler Manufacturing metal building system with a 26-foot-high eave.
For the roof, New England PEMB installed Butler’s MR-24 standing seam roof system. The roof has a thermal bridging system and thermal spacer blocks. For the walls, the company installed Butler’s 2-inchthick Thermawall Fineline insulated metal panels (IMPs).
