Waypoint Aviation at Cincinnati Municipal Airport at Lunken Field is a fixed base operator (FBO). Ampersand Associates LLC designed the FBO with a metal roof and metal walls. It is located on a flood plain, so exterior and interior walls are flood proof to 20 feet with flood vents.
All American Building Co. Inc. constructed the 150-foot-wide by 200-foot-long, 40,000-square-foot building, which has a 120-foot-wide by 28-foot-tall hangar door centered in an end-wall. Door Engineering and Manufacturing LLC supplied the door, and the hangar can accommodate a variety of aircraft including the Gulfstream 650 and Bombardier Global 7000.
For the roof, All American Building installed American Buildings’ Standing Seam II standing seam roof system in Galvalume. For walls, All American Building installed American Buildings’ Architectural III metal wall panels in Royal Blue and insulated metal panels (IMPs).
Waypoint Aviation’s corporate jet hangar has three acres of ramp space and self-serve Avgas pump. There is direct access to the terminal from the ramp.
