DBCI Opens Distribution Center in Rocky Mount, N.C.

Roll-up door manufacturer DBCI, Douglasville, Ga., has opened a new distribution center in Rocky Mount, N.C. The facility, over 10,000 square feet of office and warehouse space located at 100 Red Iron Road, is shared with DBCI’s sister company Ceco Building Systems.

A full-time, three-member team oversees daily operations, monitors inventory and fills orders. The move will benefit door installers and contract builders from northern North Carolina and southern Virginia, who can now order and pickup locally.

DBCI Vice President Larry Miller explains: “We’ve historically done plenty of business throughout this region, but we also see an opportunity for growth. Our Rocky Mount distribution center means reduced freight costs and a convenient outlet for our regular customers. It also offers a solution for those who want to buy DBCI products but were previously hampered by issues of time or place.”

The Rocky Mount distribution center will stock the complete line of DBCI commercial and self-storage steel roll-up doors, both standard and wind-rated. A weekly stocking run also allows for timely custom orders. Plans to add delivery service will be dictated by demand.

Management of the new facility is handled by Randall Wiggins, a Rocky Mount resident and an industry veteran with over 40 years of experience in metal buildings and building components. Most recently, he was plant manager at Ceco Building Systems.
