The Bryer Company, Auburn, Wash., has installed a Iowa Precision Slear 1 leveling and slit line from Mestek Machinery. The equipment went into service on a 6,500 square foot facility adjacent to Bryer’s main plant. The leveling operations will produce tight tolerance custom length flat sheet with in-line strippable film application in gauges ranging from 16 to 29 steel and .032 to .080 aluminum. The slit line will produce coils for Bryer’s own panel production as well as for the portable rollform and gutter market. The line runs at a speed of 150 lineal feet per minute and produces coils with a width tolerance of +/- 0.007”.
