Gerard “Gerry” Schmidt, 59, of Henderson, was born on October 24, 1950 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Loving husband of Vicki; son of Joseph T. & the late, Alma Schmidt; brother of Gene & George & the late, Geraldine Trippel. Gerry battled against two cancers for over one year, Myelodysplastic Syndrome and Mastocytosis. Gerry worked as a project manager for Black Roofing for 7 years, and before that he was with D&D Roofing for 25 years. He was a fine man and a strong man. He was unique in every way and he will be missed by family & friends. Memorial Contributions or donations can be made in his memory at www.mds-foundation.org, or to the charity of your choice. Private family services will be held at a later date.
