The Metal Construction Association, Glenview, Ill., elected its 2010 Board of Directors at its recent annual meeting in Naples, Fla. Edward Karper, North American Coil Marketing Manager for Akzo Nobel Coatings in Columbus, OH, was newly elected to the MCA Board of Directors. Existing board members re-elected to 3-year terms are: Jeff Irwin, Kingspan Benchmark, Columbus, OH; Randy Ridenour, Atlas Bolt and Screw, Ashland, OH; Norbert Schneider, Umicore Building Products USA Inc., Raleigh, NC; Bill Croucher, Fabral, Lancaster, PA; and Brian Partyka, Drexel Metal Corp., Ivyland, PA. Board members may serve three 3-year terms and are selected each year by a vote of the membership at the association’s annual meeting. Those continuing their role as MCA officers in 2010 are: President, Jeff Irwin, Kingspan Benchmark; Vice President, Randy Ridenour, Atlas Bolt & Screw Co.; Treasurer, Karl Hielscher, Metl-Span LLC, Lewisville, TX, Secretary, Todd Miller, Classic Products Inc., Piqua, OH; and Past President, Dick Bus, ATAS International, Allentown, PA. MCA’s 2010 annual meeting, held January 24-26 in Naples, FL, was attended by more than 130 current members, potential members, and guests. In addition to the election of officers, the meeting focused primarily on council and committee work, especially technical and marketing activities.
