The Bradbury Group, based in Moundridge, Kan., expanded its facilities in Moundridge. Additions were made to an assembly and testing area, as well as the ongoing extension of an inventory area.
“Last year, we began an exciting journey at our plant two facility,” says Matt Werner, senior manager of global marketing and sales at Bradbury. “We finished a project that allowed us to extend the three center bays by 150 ft (45.72 m) to the north. This resulted in an additional 22,500 sf (2,090.32 m2) of assembly and test floor space. The demand for our services quickly filled up this new space with exciting customer projects. Realizing the need for even more room, we made the decision to add on to both the east and west bays of plant two, matching the latest expansion and providing us with an extra 15,000 sf (1,393.54 m2). The progress of these new expansions has been smooth, with only a few final touches remaining before they become fully operational and significantly enhance our operations.”
Standing 10 ft (3.05 m) taller than an existing building, the expansion allows for an increase of vertical storage space. By utilizing 16-ft (4.88 m) speed racks instead of the current 10-ft (3.05-m) racking, there is space to accommodate an expanded inventory of supplies on the east side.
The west side addition will provide the assembly and test department with another 7,500 sf (696.77 m2). This additional space will be utilized to build customer machines and conduct tests.
