All Weather Insulated Panels Inc. (AWIP), based in Vacaville, Calif., hired Bjoern Meyer as vice-president of operations. Meyer’s new role comes after working as a plant manager for over two years and then as director of manufacturing for the last year.
He is responsible for overseeing AWIP’s three continuous line production facilities across the country, in addition to a leadership role in AWIP’s technical department and equipment improvements, as well as the company’s divisional quality group and division chemical group.
Based in Little Rock, Ark., Meyer will ensure AWIP’s three facilities continue to be aligned through standardization of process and communication. This initiative is a key aspect toward achieving customer satisfaction, Meyer says. “Our clear mission and goal at AWIP is to ensure that customer satisfaction remains the top priority through standardized and sustainable operations. Our customers should experience the same manufacturing quality from our Vacaville facility that they would in Little Rock or East Stroudsburg. I’m excited to begin my new role at AWIP to both continue, and improve, these initiatives.”
Meyer is also focused on continuing to implement Planet Passionate, AWIP’s 10-year sustainability program dedicated to driving energy and carbon out of its business operations and supply chain, delivering initiatives across all three of AWIP’s production facilities through waste reduction and landfill diversion programs, and maximizing production efficiencies and electrification of facilities, among many other on-site projects.
“I think it’s noteworthy that Bjoern’s insights and ideas have impacted AWIP’s manufacturing operations, but also how Bjoern’s experience has helped other leaders and departments create standards that enable us to be as efficient as possible, says Charles Schafer, director, marketing & sustainability at AWIP. “We’re excited to elevate Bjoern into his new role and look forward to his continued innovation.”
