Kenneth Schultz, president of Inland Coatings, has announced the retirement of commercial and industrial coatings pioneer Christopher Hoskins. From 1992 until 2018, Hoskins served as president of Truco Inc., a business founded in 1978 by his father, Richard, and his uncles, Terry and Ken. He most recently worked in technical services for Inland Coatings, which acquired the Truco brand in 2021.
Hoskins played a major role in establishing brand recognition for Truco by developing quality standards and formulation specifications that raised the bar on coatings performance in the industrial and commercial markets, most especially for metal roof coatings.
“Chris was a pioneer in developing high-quality formulation specifications and an expert network of independent contractors to ensure to-spec application. Inland Coatings will continue to benefit in the years to come from his legacy of ensuring predictable performance outcomes for our customers,” Schultz says.
