Changeover and setup are often the Achilles’ heel of most slitting lines, says Red Bud. In addition to having to set up the slitting heads, strip dividers must also be set up. This is typically done manually offline, and then the tooling bars are exchanged with the previously used setup.
That’s why Red Bud Industries developed automatic strip dividers. Based on the number of cuts and their widths, the system will automatically position each separator and lock them in place without operator assistance.
