The design of the 40,000-square-foot (3,716-m2) fire station, which also houses the Oswego Fire Protection District’s administrative offices, invokes a remembrance of fire stations of the past. Although the new station meets the District’s current and future needs, the soaring bell tower, red doors and stone accent arches reflect the traditions of the fire service. Petersen Aluminum Corp. supplied 24,000 square feet (2,230 m2) of 24-gauge PAC-CLAD 18-inch (457-mm) Snap-Clad standing-seam roof panels in Burgundy, which provides longevity and durability.
