
The backbone of the metal construction industry is the substrates manufactured to form roofing panels, wall panels, flashing, finishing materials, and window and door frames. The variety of materials and the breadth of applications can be overwhelming, especially as new formulations and coatings enter the market. We pulled together a chart of the most commonly used substrate materials, identifying their typical applications and other performance characteristics.
