Founded in Vacaville, Calif., in 2006, All Weather Insulated Panels (AWIP) is celebrating its 20th anniversary as a provider of insulated metal wall and roof deck solutions for the North American building industry. Congratulations!

“For 20 years, our vision has been to help our customers build better, which has guided every product, facility, and partnership,” said president Greg Lusty.

AWIP milestones:

  • 2012: Developed and patented the OneDek insulated roof deck system
  • 2012: Opened the Little Rock, Ark., facility
  • 2013: Launched the FiRe series panels
  • 2015: Joined Kingspan Group

  • 2025: Launched the GlimpseXR design tool, the DM40-F+ fire-rated panel, InnovaCELL foam technology, and the IMPpro customer loyalty program.

Sustainability remains important to the company, says AWIP, noting it has reduced Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 39.2%, reached 53.8% renewable energy use in 2025, and cut waste to landfill by 52% since its 2020 baseline.

Looking ahead, the company plans to pursue ISO 50001 “Energy management” certification, expand onsite generation, introduce product take-back and recycling, and continue developing lower embodied carbon (LEC) solutions.

“For the next 20 years, we remain committed to innovation, sustainability, and the customer relationships that have defined our success,” Lusty added.
