From commercial and industrial facilities to highly customized projects, metal building systems continue to serve an increasingly diverse range of applications. The winners of American Buildings’ 2026 Excellence in Design Awards demonstrate how the company’s Authorized Builders are applying creativity and expertise to meet a wide range of project requirements.
“The awarded projects represent both aesthetic appeal and practical utility, featuring the adaptability of metal buildings in today’s competitive and dynamic construction industry,” said Carlie Smith, marketing director for Nucor Buildings Group. “Our builders consistently deliver sophisticated and inventive solutions using our building systems.”
Awards were granted across several categories. First place category winners were subsequently nominated for consideration as the overall 2026 Building of the Year (Gold), 1st runner-up (Silver), and 2nd runner-up (Bronze).
