ATAS has promoted Kyle Ferenc, CSI, to the position of Midwest district sales manager. His area will include the states of Illinois, Wisconsin, and Minnesota, and while overseeing product representatives, he will provide the game plan for expanding that market. This district was created due to the growth ATAS is experiencing in that area and the addition of its fourth manufacturing facility, which opened in University Park, Ill., in 2021.
Ferenc was previously the product representative for Wisconsin and northern Illinois. He has been with ATAS for more than four years and has been in the architectural building materials industry for 17 years. Ferenc has a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and Government from the University of Iowa, and a certification in metal roof installation from the Metal Construction Association (MCA). He is a vice president for the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) Chicago chapter and was the chairperson for their annual CSi2eye event last year. In 2024, Ferenc received the CSI Chicago Chapter President’s Award, recognizing a chapter member who has rendered distinguished service to the chapter and was instrumental in advancement of the chapter’s mission, activities, and/or administration.
Last year, Ferenc, and Cathy Parrino, his inside technical sales support person at the time, were awarded the 2023 recipients of the Malan S. Parker Award, which recognizes the top ATAS sales professionals each year. They were chosen as the winners for their teamwork in overall sales growth and observance of corporate goals and objectives.
“We are excited to give Kyle the opportunity to advance within the company and use his strengths at the sales management level. As we continue to grow, it’s important to have local representatives to better service the customers throughout the country,” said Mark Bus, ATAS’ national sales manager. “With Kyle’s strengths, we can continue adding more representation within the Midwest district and will continue assisting him with training and development. We look forward to working with Kyle in his new capacity.”
Ferenc resides in Illinois with his wife, daughter, and two sons. When not working, he enjoys golfing, reading, traveling, and spending time with his family.
