Chris Legnon, vice president of technology at Cooper Steel Fabricators Inc., has been installed as the 2026-2027 president of the Steel Erectors Association of America.
Legnon has been with Cooper for more than 20 years and has been a member of SEAA’s board for over a decade. He has chaired the marketing committee, served on the executive committee, and was named SEAA Person of the Year in 2024.
He says his priorities include continuing SEAA’s growth while expanding workforce development, safety education, and practical technology resources for steel erection contractors.
Newly elected directors Troy “Twig” Terwilliger (Pioneer Construction) and Katy Williams (Williams Erection Company) join returning directors Drew Heron (Deem Structural Services LLC), Bryan McClure (Trivent Safety Consulting), Jack Metcalfe (National Institute of Steel Detailing), and Lee Shaw (Kern Erectors Inc.).
