CENTRIA plant wins safety award

CENTRIA is pleased to announce that its Frankfort, Ky., plant recently received the 2010 Governor’s Safety and Health Award. The Award was presented June 8 by Kentucky Secretary of Labor, Mark Brown, and is presented to Kentucky businesses whose employees work a certain number of hours without any occupation-related injuries or illnesses.

CENTRIA’s employees needed 250,000 hours to qualify for the award. The Frankfort facility far exceeded this amount with no lost-time accidents over the course of 515,527 hours – the amount of hours worked since the company’s first Safety and Health Award in 2006. With two awards in four years, CENTRIA’s stringent safety procedures are working and keeping employees safe as they produce a high quality product for the building construction industry.
