METALFORM Mexico will co-locate with Welding, Fabricating and Coating Expositions again

The Precision Metalforming Association, American Welding Society, Fabricators and Manufacturers Association and Society of Manufacturing Engineers once again will co-locate their shows in Mexico. The event, scheduled for May 11-13, 2010, at Centro Banamex in Mexico City, will be the second annual co-location of the shows. In conjunction with METALFORM Mexico, AWS Weldmex and FABTECH Mexico, COATech—the only show for finishing and corrosion control in Mexico—will again join the event. The 2009 co-location, held in June in Monterrey at Cintermex, was a huge success despite the challenges of uncertain economic conditions and the widespread pandemic of the H1N1 virus in Mexico right before the show. Quickly dubbed Mexico’s “Mega Event” for tool and die, stamping, forming, fabricating, tube and pipe, welding, assembly and finishing of sheet metal component parts and assemblies, it exceeded all expectations. With the improved economy, the 2010 event should experience nearly double the attendance from 2009 and attract 7,000 onsite visitors, the largest audience in attendance for these expositions in Mexico. Those interested in exhibiting at METALFORM Mexico can navigate to the exposition’s website at www.metalform.com/mexico . With more than three months left before the show, the METALFORM Mexico exhibit floor is nearly 80 percent filled. METALFORM Mexico alternates each year between Mexico City and Monterrey, effectively covering the entire Mexican metalforming market. The show is sponsored by the Precision Metalforming Association (PMA), the full-service trade association representing the $113-billion metalforming industry of North America, and co-organized by Trade Show Consulting (TSC), which has been producing shows in Mexico since 1992.
