NCI Building Systems Introduces New President, Organizational Structure

NCI Building Systems Inc. (NCI), has named Don Riley president, Group Business Segments. In this newly created position, Riley will join the senior leadership team reporting to Norman Chambers, chairman, president and CEO of NCI. Riley will be responsible for driving profitable growth for NCI’s three business segments, Metal Coil Coating, Metal Components, and Engineered Building Systems.

This new structure will emphasize brand financial performance and enhance NCI’s focus on customer relationships, sales and service. Riley will oversee implementation of specific brand strategies, further development of shared services to reduce costs and collaboration to optimize solutions for NCI’s varied customer segments.

“After a lengthy and thorough search, I am excited Don is joining our experienced NCI team,” Chambers said. “Don brings a distinguished track record of performance based on applying his seasoned leadership and solid background in supply chain management and technology applications for multi-brand strategies.”

Riley brings more than 20 years of diverse experience to the role, and is known for delivering meaningful improvement through strategic planning, organizational development and multi-brand execution. He began his career as an engineer with Singer: Link Flight Simulation in Houston and gained expertise in supply chain, logistics, information technology, and sales and marketing during his time with EDS, Kellwood Company and Mohawk Industries. In Riley’s last role as executive vice president at

ProBuild, he led the transformation of the sales, marketing and manufacturing organization, resulting in sustained improvement to the top- and bottom-line.

Riley is a graduate of the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Science with honors in Mechanical Engineering. Riley has been affiliated with many community organizations through the years such as United Way and Junior Achievement. He was awarded 2006 Computerworld Award for Top 100 IT Professionals and the 2010 Global Top 10 Breakaway Leader of the Year.
