Memphis-based Liberty Building Systems recently promoted one of its employees to support its strategy of expanding Liberty’s presence in the self-storage marketplace. Additionally, the company has announced the hiring of two new associates. Robert Major, former Liberty district sales manager, has been promoted to self-storage business development manager. In his new position, he is responsible for developing a self-storage sales strategy for all BlueScope Buildings North America brands utilizing Liberty self-storage. Major has 17 years of experience in the metal building industry. Liberty has hired Terry Bennington as the district sales manager for Kansas, western Missouri, northwestern Arkansas and the southwest portion of Iowa. Bennington took over the position previously held by Robert Major. During his 16 years in the metal building industry, Bennington has gained a great amount of experience through his roles as engineering technician, senior team coordinator and project manager. Shaunda Fowler has accepted the position of engineering manager and is responsible for overseeing Liberty’s design and detailing group. She brings an abundance of experience and knowledge with her to Liberty, having worked in the metal building industry for eight years. Liberty Building Systems is a division of BlueScope Buildings North America Inc.
