Regal Construction, LLC, a Nucor Building Systems (NBS) Authorized Builder, is currently working to construct integral parts of Nucor Corporation’s newest direct reduced iron (DRI) facility in Convent, Louisiana.
As one of the largest industrial projects in Louisiana history, Nucor Steel Louisiana, LLC, will initially create 150 permanent jobs with an annual salary of $75,000. Throughout the various phases of construction Nucor could ultimately investment almost $3 billion and increase permanent employment to more than 1,000. With the purchase of approximately 4,000 acres on the Mississippi River, the company has currently invested more than $50 million.
Phase I of the new facility will also include an Administration building, Locker Room, Training & Dining building and Control Roo.
