Kathy Diehl’s presentation addresses the current U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) ENERGY STAR Program Requirements for Roof Products. The presentation includes a brief description of EPA’s organization and an overview of the ENERGY STAR Program. The presentation covers the terms of the ENERGY STAR Partner Agreement as it pertains to the manufacturing of ENERGY STAR qualified roof products and the Version 2.1 product specifications for ENERGY STAR qualified roof products.
Peter Turnbull, PG&E Principal, Commercial Buildings Zero Net Energy Program
Peter Turnbull will discuss PG&E’s Zero Net Energy Pilot. This involves deep energy efficiency in buildings, and is something that definitely involves roofing (for efficiency and as a location for solar panels); this will be an informative presentation. He will also discuss efforts towards consumer energy demand and what PG&E’s plans are for future efforts in this area.
Besides having educational sessions, this meeting will offer a great opportunity for networking and learning more about what’s on the horizon for the Reflective Roof Coatings Institute.
