Steel Tube Institute Announces the Launch of its New Website

The Steel Tube Institute (STI) recently launched a newly remodeled and innovative website to encourage more visitors to learn more about steel tubular products and its member producers who are featured on the main STI site, as well as individual product sites.

Still active at its original domain, www.steeltubeinstitute.org, the updated website features all the products that STI represents including Drawn Over Mandrel (DOM), Hollow Structural Sections (HSS), Mechanical Tubing, Standard Pipe and Steel Conduit. With this update, STI unites as one organization with an overarching emphasis on steel tubular products and a mission to inform consumers about the utility and versatility of steel tube and pipe.

“We are excited to reveal the newly launched STI website to the public,” said Executive Director Bill Wolfe. “The new Steel Tube Institute website has exceeded our expectations and provides a dynamic channel by which to increase technical knowledge, resources and expertise about steel tube and pipe.”

STI strives to be an industry voice to the steel tubular community and the content that is now found on the website will only enhance the Institute as the “go-to” place for engineers, architects and anyone interested in the multi-functional capabilities and uses of steel tubular products.

As the largest member committee within STI, the HSS section is the most complex and in-depth on the site, containing exciting new additions including an HSS Inspiration Gallery where engineers and architects can post current projects that creatively and efficiently use HSS, CEU certified webinars for engineers and architects, and exclusive content like technical papers, brochures and design aids that seek to make designing with HSS easier.

“Prism Insights, our new Chicago based PR and Social Media firm, was instrumental in the strategic development of this new STI/HSS website, and is just one of the ways we plan to leverage technology to increase awareness about Hollow Structural Sections and help architects and engineers better understand its uses and benefits,” said Mark Bula, director of the HSS committee. “With online certified webinars, technical brochures and a growing inspiration gallery in the works, we are thrilled to use this platform as a tool to educate, empower and inspire guests that visit our page.”

STI’s new website will be routinely updated offering fresh information for repeat visitors. The site will host current news and news releases, as well as multiple FAQ sections where visitors can post technical questions. STI again welcomes old and new friends to the site to learn more about their continued development in enhancing the growth of steel tubular products.
