The National Roofing Contractors Association has released its 2010-11 market survey which provides data obtained from roofing contractors throughout the U.S., enabling roofing professionals to compare industry market statistics, trends and information.
The survey includes information about commercial and residential roofing activity, roofing material use, regional breakdowns, installation by material type and industry sales volumes. The NCRA has has made available its Proceedings of the 2011 International Roofing Symposium on CD. The symposium, Emerging Technologies and Roof System Performance, was held Sept. 7-9 in Washington, D.C., in cooperation with Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Oak Ridge, Tenn., and National Research Council of Canada, Ottawa, Ontario. It provided a forum for the formal presentation of roofing industry research and the latest information about the science of emerging technologies, including reflective roof surfaces, vegetative roof systems and roof-mounted photovoltaic systems.
