Roofing Industry Alliance for Progress announces MVP award and creates scholarship

The Roofing Industry Alliance for Progress has announced its Most Valuable Player (MVP) awards program to identify and honor a maximum of 10 outstanding roofing workers. The awards program is open to roofing contracting, distributor and supplier firms.

The Roofing Industry Alliance for Progress has announced the 2014-2015 Melvin Kruger Endowed Scholarship Program available to assist employees of NRCA contractor and supplier members. The merit-based scholarship administered by Scholarship Management Services® is available to employees and their families who plan to pursue post-secondary education in college and vocational programs. Recipients will receive funding for up to four years of full-time study at any accredited post-secondary institution.

Applicants to the scholarship program must be full-time employees of an NRCA contractor or supplier member company or their dependent children or spouses with a minimum of one year of full-time employment with their companies as of the application deadline date. Employees can include principals of member companies. Applicants can also be high school seniors or graduates who plan to enroll or who are already enrolled in a full-time undergraduate course of study at a two- or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school for an entire academic year.

Each scholarship recipient will receive a $5,000 award that is renewable for up to three years of undergraduate study or until a bachelor’s degree is earned provided the awards are renewed annually and recipients maintain at least a 3.0 GPA.
