The Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors’ National Association (SMACNA) announced Carol Duncan was elected by the board of directors to serve as president. Duncan began her career in the sheet metal industry in 1982 at General Sheet Metal, a Clackamas, Ore.-based company specializing in mechanical, architectural, and HVAC fabrication, installation, and repair services for the commercial and industrial markets.
“[Duncan] is an essential member of the SMACNA executive committee, and I am excited to see her take on the role as our next board president,” says Aaron Hilger, CEO at SMACNA. “[Duncan’s] extensive industry expertise and dedication to our association and its members will provide a solid foundation as we strive to further our organization’s mission.”
Duncan served in SMACNA roles and committees, including the products and programs coordinating committee and the SMACNA/SMART best practices market expansion task force.
