Steven S. Lakin Named Executive Managing Director of GBCA

The General Building Contractors Association (GBCA) has named Steven S. Lakin as its Executive Managing Director. In this role, Mr. Lakin will work closely with the membership of the GBCA, building owners, union leaders, the A/E/C community, and public officials to advance the goals of the union construction industry. Prior to his appointment at the GBCA, Mr. Lakin served as the Executive Vice President of the Mechanical Contractors Association of Maryland in Baltimore, Md. In that role he developed a deep understanding of the union construction industry including labor negotiations, legislative advocacy, and Taft-Hartley funds administration.
