McElroy Metal has announced several promotions. Jeff Hoopes is now vice president of operations, Marc Scammerhorn is vice president of manufacturing, and Joe Corban is the vice president of customer solutions.

McElroy Metal has announced a series of leadership transitions for February.
After years of dedicated service, Carl Riggins, vice president of operations, has announced his retirement. Riggins joined McElroy Metal in 2015 and played a pivotal role in strengthening operations, developing leaders across multiple facilities, and supporting the company’s long-term succession strategy. According to a media release, “his steady leadership and focus on team development have left a lasting impact on the organization.”
As part of this planned transition, McElroy Metal has promoted Jeff Hoopes to vice president of operations and Marc Scammerhorn to vice president of manufacturing.
Hoopes joined the company in 2014 and brings more than two decades of experience in the metal building components industry. He has served in progressive leadership roles, most recently as regional operations manager, where he supported multiple facilities and advanced continuous improvement initiatives. In his new role, Hoopes will oversee operational performance with a focus on collaboration, efficiency, and people-centered leadership.
Scammerhorn joined in 2013 and has supported manufacturing operations across the organization through equipment strategy, maintenance programs, and manufacturing consistency. With extensive experience in manufacturing leadership and equipment management, he will oversee McElroy Metal’s manufacturing.
In addition, McElroy Metal announced the promotion of Joe Corban to vice president of customer solutions. Corban joined the company in 2003 and has held a variety of leadership roles across customer service, technical services, and continuous improvement. In his new role, he will lead efforts to enhance the customer experience, strengthen service and technical support teams, and align processes to support the company’s continued growth.
“These leadership transitions reflect the depth of talent within McElroy Metal and our commitment to developing leaders from within,” said Ian McElroy, McElroy Metal president. “We are grateful for Carl’s contributions and confident in the leadership of Jeff, Marc, and Joe as we move forward.”
