The Roofing Alliance-Clemson University Professional Training Program has launched an online, self-paced training course that provides practical knowledge of sustainability and resiliency across the roofing supply chain.
Further, participants in the new “Roofing sustainability and resiliency” course can earn 8 AIA Continuing Education credits.
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
- Define key concepts of sustainability and resiliency within the context of building construction and the roofing industry.
- Describe and understand sustainability and resiliency for different types of roofing systems.
- Explain the environmental and logistical considerations across the roofing material life cycle—including raw material extraction, manufacturing, distribution, and post-construction phases—and their impact on sustainability and resiliency.
- Explain the roles and responsibilities of roofing manufacturers, suppliers, and contractors in promoting sustainable and resilient practices.
- Describe the life cycle assessments of roofing systems.
- Explain how to evaluate innovations that enhance sustainability and resiliency.
- Identify current challenges, future trends, and emerging technologies in the roofing industry that influence sustainable and resilient building practices.
Participants have 60 days to complete the course and, upon successful completion of the coursework and final examination, earn a Certificate of Completion. National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA) members save $100 course. Roofing Alliance members save $300. Bulk pricing is available.
