Collins Woerman Co. specified two types of metal panels for the façade of Alexandria Center, an office building in Seattle: copper and metal composite material (MCM). The copper panels will patinate to blue-green colors over time.

In total, Keith Panel Systems Co. Ltd. fabricated, and Krueger Sheet Metal Co. installed, 30,000 square feet of metal cladding. Approximately 1,200 panels were installed as Keith Panel Systems’ System A pressure-equalized rainscreen panels with the KPS ThermaSmart attachment system.

KME America Inc. supplied its Tecu Classic 1-mm copper sheet, to which A. Zahner Co. applied its custom Dirty Penny finish. 3A Composites USA Inc. supplied its 4-mm Alucobond Plus MCM with a fire-resistant core in PVDF2 Oyster. The 300,000-square-foot project was completed in June 2017.
