Alliance Safety Council, Baton Rouge, La.

The Alliance Safety Council is a nonprofit organization designed to promote safety in the workplace. Initially serving Louisiana, the organization has branched out and its new 32,000-square-foot facility serves 7,000 students per month. The new building also features training laboratories, technology-enhanced classrooms and administrative space.

The organization sought to achieve a visually commanding presence on the local interstate corridor while engaging the community through a combination of curvilinear forms, verticalelements and complementing materials.

Approximately 10,000 square feet of Citadel Architectural Products' Envelope 2000 metal composite material (MCM) panels were installed using Citadel's Rain Screen (RS) attachment method. A strong, contemporary façade was achieved with the Citadel panels interfacing with glass and concrete block.
