Erected by Crossland Construction Co., this onestory facility features Varco Pruden’s Deck Frame framing system that allowed for a virtually flat profile. The 34,422-square-foot building serves as the administrative office for Oil Field Pumping Services division of Baker Hughes. The structure includes about 65 offices for its staff, as well as a laboratory for testing materials, dispatch area, lockers and shower area, meeting rooms, training facility and a breakroom and kitchen.
The facility has pre-cast wall panels that allow large glass areas and a dramatic canopied entry structure. The roof is a built-up roof over Varco Pruden-provided decking and bar joists. Additional design items are support for an interior folding partition, multiple rooftop units, special interior clearances and transition to an adjacent shop building.
