C&L Aviation Group at Bangor International Airport, Bangor, Maine

C&L Aviation Group at Bangor International Airport, Bangor, MaineAmes Associates LLC specified structural metal panels to construct a corporate headquarters for C&L Aviation Group between two aviation hangars from the 1940s and unify the three structures with a contemporary design. Approximately 17,800 square feet of ATAS International Inc.'s 24-gauge, concealed fastener OPW065 Opaline structural metal wall panels in Dove Grey and Bone White with Kynar 500 coating were installed. Metal panels were selected to reflect the hangars' history, fit with other structures at the airport and express the company's identity.

The project encompassed a new 8,500-squarefoot building and 45,000 square feet of existing hangars. One hangar was re-purposed as a parts warehouse and the second hangar is used to remove parts for refurbishing. The $2 million project was completed in March 2014.
