To replace composite tile roofing material damaged by hurricanes Irma and Maria on Club Wyndham Elysian Beach Resort in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, aluminum shingles were installed.
Rooftops Silicone Distributors Inc. installed ATAS International Inc.’s CastleTop 0.032-inch-thick aluminum shingles in Ascot White. The diamond-shaped shingles have an embossed texture and an expanded polystyrene backer boards that support the panels during installation and aids in sound dampening. A tab interlock design of the shingles resists wind-uplift.
