To expand operations for CoLinx LLC, a manufacturer-owned provider of shared e-commerce and logistics services, a metal building that spans about seven acres was constructed in a design-build project.

The 300,000-square-foot metal building, with metal roofing and walls, matches the look of an adjacent facility operated by the company, constructed in 1995.

Precision Erection Co. Inc. erected A&S Building Systems’ metal building system for the massive facility. It consists of a single building with a long bay with two units: building A and building B.

Building A is a gable pre-engineered steel building with a 450-foot-wide by 575-foot-long bay system. Each bay is 50 feet wide by 575 feet long. The eave is 28 feet. Building A also has a left end-wall that is expandable. Building B is a gable pre-engineered steel building with a 300-footwide by 137-foot-long bay system.

At the roof of both units, A&S’ 24-inch Galvalume Plus Double-Lok standing seam roof system was installed. At walls, A&S’ 26-gauge, 36-inch wide PBR metal wall panels in Polar White were installed. Eaves, rakes, gutters, downspouts, jambs, sills and head trim are Brownstone.
