The 39,520-square-foot (3,671-m2) state-of-the-art corporate jet hangar is designed for overnight storage of various aircrafts. Completed in December 2007, the project utilized a metal building from Metallic Building Co. because it offered clear, open space in the hangar. The project also features Metallic’s PBR roof panels, endwall and sidewall panels. The PBR panel system creates an evenshadowed appearance, which is important for the sleek, stealth-like image of the hangar. The structure features two 108-foot- (33-m-) wide hangar doors and a center jack beam to eliminate center columns. The building has a 1/2:12 roof slope and a 34 5/8-foot (11-m) eave height. The project also features high efficiency fluorescent lighting and complies with the California Clean Water Act.
