The Cumberland County Health Department serves a population close to 308,000 over 661 square miles. It is committed to improving and maintaining the quality of health for the citizens by preventing illness and injury through clinical services; promoting good health practices by educating the public; and keeping the environment clean, healthy and safe. Completed in
January 2010, the 108,000-square-foot Cumberland County Department of Public Health building was constructed to help the Department accomplish its goal to have healthy people living in a healthy community.
