To prevent Dillon Health Center from blocking views of mountains from nearby residences and to provide views of mountains inside the building, Davis Partnership Architects PC designed the 85,000-square-foot facility to be built three stories below grade.

Metal walls were specified, in part, for durability in the high-altitude environment. Moreover, Davis Partnership designed the exterior with four profiles of metal wall panels with various rib widths, which create texture and depth on the façades.

SGH Concepts installed three of CENTRIA’s Concept Series panels in Dark Bronze: CS 620, CS 630 and CS 660. SGH also installed CENTRIA’s IW 11A panels in custom Butterscotch. All four single-skin panels have concealed fasteners.

Steven Huck, district sales manager at CENTRIA, says, “The community input gathered before the onset of this project told us that the new center needed to look and feel like it was integrated into its surrounding environment. The façade of the building plays a major role in that, and Concept Series panels delivered the right kind of look, while also delivering durability to protect the facility from Mother Nature.”
