One design constraint in renovating Hanover Square was the shopping center is long and low. It is 1,400 feet long with 12-foot ceilings. David Cornes, principal at David Cornes Architect, says, “A major design goal was to articulate the front façade and make the structure appear more than it was.”
Medium Bronze wall panels with White accents were used to complete the look. Anthony Roofing Tecta America LLC installed 10,000 square feet of Petersen Aluminum Corp.’s 24-gauge steel, 16-inch-wide Precision Series HWP wall panels with a Medium Bronze finish. For accents, Anthony Roofing Tecta America installed 6,800 square feet of Petersen’s 4-mm PAC-3000 RS metal composite material wall panels in White. It was completed in February 2016.
Another limitation for the project was budget. Prior to the renovation, less than half the shopping center was leased. “The budget constraint was overriding and influenced everything we did,” Cornes says.
Gianni Pellegrinon, sales and project manager at Anthony Roofing Tecta America, says, “We worked closely with the architect to get the most efficient layout to stay within the tight budget.”
