Healtheast's University Park Medical Building at Midway Campus, St. Paul, Minn.

MG McGrath engineered, fabricated and installed a complete re-clad of the brick façade on Health- East’s University Park Medical Building at Midway Campus, St. Paul, Minn. Metal panels stopped the medical office building’s exterior from leaking. Spray-applied, vapor-permeable air barrier, flashing, hat channels and a MG-COMP system with a 1/4-inch recessed sealant joint were utilized in the project, completed in September 2011.

MG McGrath’s MG-COMP Panel with hat channels, flashing, louvers, and weather barrier were installed. About 25,000 square feet of MG McGrath’s 4-mm Reynobond panels with an FR Core in three custom Champagne Metallic colors with a Kynar 3-coat mica finish were installed. Alcoa Architectural Products supplied the Reynobond aluminum composite material.

The existing façade was clad in brick, and with the windows, leaked for years. MG McGrath was involved early in the process to assist Mortenson Construction and Inspec Inc. to design the re-clad façade.
