IMPs look like terra cotta

Insulated metal panels (IMPs) with small box shapes mimic terra cotta tiles on Caven Point Marine Terminal. The IMPs provided a larger coverage area than individual terra cotta tiles; the small box shapes have false joints.

The project included four buildings. On three of the buildings, Custom Exterior Systems Inc. installed 27,000 square feet of CENTRIA’s 3-inch-thick Formawall Graphix Series IMPs in Surrey Beige. The smooth IMPs have 22-gauge skins and Versacore Elite PF coating, which provides protection in brackish water environments.

On the fourth building, Custom Exterior Systems installed 2,000 square feet of CENTRIA’s Exposed Fastener Panels TR4-36 in Versacore Elite PF Surrey Beige. The interior sides of the exposed fastener panels are also coated because they are uncovered and exposed. The project was completed for $2 million in July 2017.
